Lynn Doiron's first published collection of work, hand wording, TJMF Publishing, November 2006, explores everyday
and common events. Largely narrative in style and confessional in content, with observations on nature, time, aging, gains and
losses endured and/or celebrated by one old baby boomer, Lynn details her lines with imagery and straightforward language. Her
influences are many and varied, including Denise Levertov, Marge Piercy, Mary Oliver, Maxin Kumin, Billy Collins and Ted
Kooser. The occasional sonnet, terza rima, or villanelle appears within the pages of Lynn's predominantly free-verse form of
writing--however the author makes every effort, generally succeeding, to thwart the confines of meter and rhyme to the point
they fade into the background of moments and situations presented.
